BPA Gold Winner

2016 - British Property Awards  - Gold Winner - Estate Agents in Harrogate

The BPA specifically design their awards to be attainable to all agents. It has removed all barriers to entry, such as cost, to ensure that it has the most inclusive awards. They have also been developed to remove any opportunity for bias or manipulation.

The BPA team personally mystery shopped all entrants against a set of 25 criteria in order to get a balanced overview of their customer service levels. Judging criteria is both comprehensive and detailed, exploring different mediums, scenarios and time periods to ensure agents have been rigorously and fairly judged. Read more about our win here.

2014- Best Estate Agency Marketing (National) - Silver - Estate Agency of the Year Awards

Linley & Simpson leveraged the publicity in the areas for the benefit of the business. The campaign ran across all media but what generated most interest was the branded, limited edition yellow jersey boards.

A competition tie-in and a charity cycle ride undertaken by the team all added to the excitement. The level of publicity and attention this campaign garnered is very impressive, and the fact that it was endorsed by the Welcome to Yorkshire organisation, which is responsible for bringing the Tour de France to Yorkshire, is the icing of the cake.

2013 - Northern Letting Agent of the Year (Medium Agency) - Silver - Letting Agent of the Year Awards

The independent rental specialists' approach to high quality customer service was praised by judges who described Linley & Simpson as "totally polished across the lettings board".

Its "perky re-investment programme" - spearheaded by moves to bigger and better premises for both its Harrogate and Ripon branches - was helping to take its quality service to new heights.

It singled out staff for being "motivated and highly trained" with an internal structure able to measure adherence to high standards and ensure the business was complying with changing legislation.

2012 - Northern Letting Agent of the Year (Medium Agency) - Gold - Letting Agency of the Year Awards

Judges described Linley & Simpson as "a great business with a good eye for detail that offers consistently high service standards for both landlords and tenants" and praised "its ability to slash its tenancy deposit dispute rate by one third year-on-year, resulting in just 44 disputes among 4,900 tenancies".

They were impressed by the company's use of technology, including an iPhone app and mobile site, and high staff retention rates.

They added: "Internet search engine investment and regular client newsletters make this a very slick operation. As does its innovation, which extends to working with local councils to encourage homeowners with empty flats and houses to dip their toe in the lettings market and consider renting."

Judges described the company as "a thoroughly professional and knowledgeable agency" and praised its staff training programmes and the transparency of its accounting and compliance procedures which "set an example to the industry"

They added: "We are impressed with the heavy investment that has been made in all aspects of the business.

"Use of technology is embraced and run alongside exemplary customer standards to offer landlords and tenants a comprehensive range of services."

Known as the 'ESTAs', the Estate Agent and Letting Agent awards are the largest and longest-running accolades in the property industry - using 60,000 questionnaires to determine the UK's finest.

They are unique because there is no panel of industry experts involved in selecting the winners.
