Linley & Simpson competition

To mark the opening of the agency's new York office, it is running a landlords' competition with a first prize of an all-expenses paid trip . to New York.

And, as an added bonus for all owners registering new properties-to-rent with Linley & Simpson, the first month's letting fee will be charged as 'dollars' rather than Pounds - and, at current exchange rates, that's almost half-price!

Since launching almost 10 years ago, Linley & Simpson has grown into Yorkshire's premier residential letting specialists, and the opening of its Micklegate branch in the heart of York marks the latest phase in its expansion drive.

The venture is a key strand in the agency's plans to provide a dedicated and high-quality lettings service into new geographical areas with a thriving market. And York, with its increasing demand for homes to rent, has long been a prime target.

It also marks a natural progression for the company, which boasts a network of five other offices across Leeds, Harrogate and Wetherby, as it provides blanket coverage across the Yorkshire property market's so-called 'golden triangle' of the most sought-after areas in which to live.

Specialising in the middle-to-upper end of the market - offering homes with monthly rents between £400 and £4,000 - it is now Yorkshire's largest dedicated letting agency. It works closely with major relocation agencies and counts leading soccer players moving to clubs in Yorkshire, and TV stars working on location in the county, among its clients.

York branch manager Sarah Patten said: "We bring a wealth of expertise to the city. By closely linking our York office to the rest of our network and our database, we can offer an extra dimension to the service we provide to all our clients.

"Landlords and property investors can take advantage of access to a greater pool of prospective tenants, while tenants benefit from having a greater choice of properties to match their needs."

The York opening comes as Linley & Simpson becomes the latest agency to join a national scheme designed to safeguard landlords and tenants from the pitfalls of dealing with "cowboy" property companies.

Its accreditation follows the achieving of the strict criteria required to secure accreditation to the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS).

And, in another development for the company, it has become one of just 25 agencies, out of a national total of over 6,000, to be awarded principal account status with specialist insurers HomeLet, enabling it to offer its clients unbeatable buildings and contents insurance deals.

Full competition details are available from Linley & Simpson's branch at 23 Micklegate, telephone 01904 611722 or by logging onto www.linleyandsimpson.co.uk.
