THE launch of Castleford's latest collection of new homes has proved a resounding success.
The show home at Moore Park, Healdfield Road, opened its doors to potential buyers for the first time on Saturday.
The event proved a ringing endorsement of the development's broad appeal - attracting a range of different groups keen to be the first to see the properties for themselves.
These included: People looking to take advantage of the Government's Help To Buy discount scheme for New Homes; Growing young families attracted by the Castleford Academy and local primary schools on its doorstep; and Older couples looking to "downsize"
It also proved a magnet for those families looking to move into a new home before Christmas, with the development due for a mid December Completion.
"We were delighted by the positive way the homes were embraced by buyers from the local community who came to our open day," said David Waddington, Joint Head of Land and New Homes at Linley & Simpson.
"Everyone was united in the view that the three-bed show home was much more spacious that they had envisaged - one of a number of positives from the day.
"The popularity of the new homes was borne out by the broad spectrum of people who came through the show homes doors.
"It proved that this is a development that has widespread appeal and has the potential to grow its very own little community."
The quiet, safe environment of a cul-de-sac is an added bonus for them.
Nestling on the edge of the town centre, all the amenities and transport links needed for daily life are within walking distance too.
Moore Park - named in honour of Castleford's most famous son, sculptor Henry Moore - features a collection of 14 detached and semi-detached properties.
Pumping more than £200,000 back into the Castleford economy by developers, Frontline Estates, after they turned to the home-grown skills of trades people in the town to bring the project to life.
It is very much a Castleford success story, breathing further new life into this part of town and helping to meet the current demand for brand new homes.
Moore Park boasts a choice of three and four bedroom properties, in a range of different designs to suit buyers lifestyles and budgets. Each comes with a 10-year building warranty for ultimate peace of mind.
The homes, which range in price from £205,000 to £250,000, are being marketed through the Wakefield office of Linley & Simpson.
