We spoke with Alistair Campbell of AC Fitness about how you can stay focused on your fitness goals for 2018, he gave us the following tips:
1. Goal setting:
When setting goals, you need to make sure you are sticking to the SMART principle; Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic/relevant, Time-bound. I believe it is very important to do this so you are aware of what you are wanting to achieve. Remember, dont just create a simple goal that will be easy to achieve; create a goal because its personal to you.
2. Be good to yourself:
Stay positive. Keep motivated. Be patient.
3. If you hate something you are doing, change it:
I believe it is key when training that you enjoy it. No matter how hard or tired you may be when exercising remember; no pain, no gain.
