HORSFORTH is experiencing a high demand for rental properties as the area continues to transform itself into an idyllic buy-to-let market, according to lettings specialists, Linley & Simpson.

The UK buy-to-let market is now showing signs of recovery after COVID-19 affected the industry, with interest rates for mortgages at record lows and a wider variety of buy-to-let mortgage options available which, tied in with the current tenant demand for property, makes for an encouraging time to invest.

Nathan King, Lettings Manager at Linley & Simpson's Horsforth branch says, 'Our branch is experiencing a huge surge in demand for two and three bedroom houses in the Horsforth and Cookridge areas, with a typical price range of £650-£850, and £800-£1100 respectively. We currently have 65 qualified applicants registered with our office looking for these exact properties, with each new listing resulting in the landlord receiving multiple applications per property.

'It's clear that the whole fabric of Horsforth is suitable for property investors. It is one of the most accessible places outside of Leeds city centre, with easy access to motorways and a train station. The suburb is a hot spot for families with its school catchment areas, plenty of open spaces for recreation and long list of amenities, including The Brownlee Arms pub which celebrates home-grown local sporting talent, The Agora restaurant and Miller and Carter Steakhouse.'
