YORK's appeal to parents looking for a new home to rent has been boosted significantly by York City Council which has recently announced a £1 million investment to build or upgrade nearly two dozen outdoor play areas.

The funds, which have been granted by Government's national Playbuilder project, will increase York's 'family-friendly' factor as it creates more safe places for children to play.

The investment is one of a number of council initiatives designed to have a positive effect on the number of new residents wishing to live in York - either by buying property or being part of the growing army of people choosing the city to rent.
