A YORKSHIRE estate agency has marked Children’s Hospice Week by raising at least £790 for young people in Yorkshire with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Linley & Simpson, which has 11 branches across North and West Yorkshire, pledged a £10 donation to Martin House Childrens Hospice at Boston Spa, near Wetherby, for every letting and sales valuation carried out during the campaign at the end of May.
This total amount is poised to grow as the independent agency has offered to increase its donation to £250 for every property listed by the end of June that subsequently sells or is rented.
It was the latest in a series of fund-raisers that Linley & Simpson has carried out in aid of the hospice, which is its chosen charity and benefits from continuous and long-term support.
Only last month, staff from the agency volunteered to create a jungle adventure garden in the grounds of the hospice, while others swapped land for water by competing in its Dragon Boat Festival at Roundhay Park in Leeds.
To date, the link-up has generated more than £50,000 for the hospice - a feat which earned it both regional and national "Community Champions" awards this year.
