FOLLOWING the challenges faced throughout 2020, we are continuing to support communities and businesses by encouraging the people of Horsforth to also support them.

Nathan King, Lettings Manager of our Horsforth branch says, "Having been in the community for over 20 years as a business, we have helped thousands of people discover what Horsforth has to offer and why it's a great place to live and now more than ever we want to support local businesses and organisations in the area that have been hit hard by the Covid19 pandemic. We have been doing a number of things to support the community. In July 2020 we asked the residents of Horsforth to support local businesses by making a visit to them and in return, enjoying a complimentary offer courtesy of Linley & Simpson. We donated money to businesses in Horsforth so residents can enjoy some excellent offers whilst supporting our local community.

"Last year we supported several community groups including putting funds towards Horsforth Cricket Club's new winter participation programme, paying towards fixing the damage that was caused by vandalism at Brownberrie Preschool, supporting St Margaret's School's project of developing a sensory outdoor garden and contributing towards the new standalone library at Broadgate School.

"Our latest initiative sees us launch our new Horsforth Gift Card, that will be presented to any landlord or seller who lets or sells their property through Linley & Simpson Horsforth. We have committed to support the following businesses so when someone does receive the gift card it is pre paid for by Linley & Simpson. Our aim is to not only give more back to our customers but to also support local businesses and the community as much as we can.

"The card is worth £250 and is an additional benefit on top of Linley & Simpson Rewards, a scheme that has exclusive offers available to all our customers from brands in and across Yorkshire."

The businesses that are included on the Horsforth gift card are:

  • Haus of Coffee - 6 Free Coffees
  • Horsforth Brewery - £30 Gift Card
  • La Bistro - Meal up to the value of £50
  • Total Being Beauty - £25 towards a treatment
  • Yorkshire Flooring Co - £100 off fitting

Rebecca Taylor, Senior Branch Manager of the Linley & Simpson Horsforth branch provides an overview of the current lettings and sales market in and around Horsforth for anyone who is thinking about selling or renting out their property.

"Our Horsforth branch has been experiencing a huge surge in demand for rental properties with each new listing often resulting in the landlord receiving multiple applications to choose from. We are seeing an increase in tenants moving to the area due to the effects of COVID19, with many tenants looking to upsize to properties with balconies, gardens, and office space, with the majority of tenants now working from home. The sales market has also been very buoyant with many properties selling within weeks of coming to market, which we believe is down to the stamp duty holiday and more people wanting to move from a city centre lifestyle and into a suburb.

"Horsforth benefits from excellent local amenities and transport links, as well as public open spaces and highly rated schools and nurseries, so has always been very popular with young professionals and families. With the continuing high demand for quality properties in the area, combined with our track record for letting the majority share of rental properties in Horsforth, we are certain to be able to let your property quickly to high-quality tenants."
