LINLEY & Simpson joined a North Yorkshire property developer in marking the latest construction milestone at a flagship apartments scheme in Harrogate.

Quattro Property Group has appointed our Land and New Homes team to launch to market Southfield and Ellis House - its luxury 20 apartment development in the town centre, overlooking the Stray.

Our founding Director and Chief Executive, Will Linley, joined the Quattro team for a 'topping out' ceremony, also attended by the town's Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor Stuart Martin MBE and Mrs April Martin.

Contractor, Leeds-based Castlehouse Construction, redeveloped the former Southfield House office building on Station Parade to deliver nine apartments, as well as creating Ellis House, a new apartment building which will accommodate a further 11 apartments with full undercroft parking.

The external build is now complete and internal works have now commenced with the first show apartment due to launch in late March, and practical completion earmarked for Q2 this year.

The well-placed apartment scheme will be high specification, predominantly two-bedroomed apartments with the inclusion of two one-bedroomed apartments.

It has already attracted keen interest from potential buyers following its soft launch hosted by the property developer and ourselves as appointed agents last year.

The Southfield and Ellis House residential scheme, which sits within a conservation area on the corner of Station Parade and York Place, has been sensitively designed to breathe new life into this strategically-located site.

It also unites the development with the architecture and history of surrounding buildings to provide apartments of the highest standard.

The new development is in a prime location adjacent to Waitrose, with coveted views over the Stray and within easy-level walking distance to the shops, restaurants and leisure amenities in Harrogate town centre.

Richard Lumley, Chairman of Quattro Property Group, said: "We are delighted to reach this important building milestone for our Harrogate apartment scheme which is on track for completion in Q2 this year.

"It seemed only fitting to invite the local Mayor and Mayoress to help us mark this traditional construction landmark.  We are excited to deliver a luxury development in one of the best locations in central Harrogate and look forward to unveiling our first show apartment at Easter."
